These terms cover your use of spokanechimneyworks.com. By using this site you agree to them. They are short, and they are written to be understood.

What this website is

This site provides information about chimney, fireplace and venting work in Spokane, Washington and connects people who need that work with a local chimney company. The actual work is performed by an independent, local company.

Prices on this site are estimates, not quotes

The price ranges published on this site are typical ranges for the Spokane area. They are not an offer, a quote, or a guarantee of price.

Two chimneys that look the same from the street can differ by hundreds of dollars depending on roof pitch and access, how many flues there are, how much creosote has built up, and whether the crown, cap or liner has already failed. The only real price is the written estimate you receive after someone looks at your chimney, and that estimate is free.

Information here is general, not professional advice

The guidance on this site, including anything about creosote, draft, venting, carbon monoxide or chimney fire risk, is general information. It is not a substitute for an inspection of your specific chimney or appliance by a qualified person.

Do not rely on this site to decide whether a chimney or appliance is safe to use. If you think yours is a hazard, stop using it and have someone look at it.

Wood stove and burn ban information

We write about Washington’s wood stove rules and Spokane’s burn bans because most people cannot find them. Washington state and Spokane Regional Clean Air are the authorities on their own rules, not this website.

Rules change, and how one applies depends on your specific property and appliance. Check with Spokane Regional Clean Air and the Washington Department of Ecology before relying on anything here, and confirm with them before a sale or an appliance change. We are not responsible for fines, penalties, or requirements that result from relying on information on this site.

Emergencies

This website is not an emergency service. If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or have a fire in the chimney, get everyone out and call 911 first. Carbon monoxide has no smell. If a detector sounds, leave the building before you call anyone.

No guarantee about the site itself

We try to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be correct, complete, current, or reachable. The site is provided as it is.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Spokane Chimney Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of this website or your reliance on information published here.

This does not limit anything that cannot be limited by law, and it does not affect your rights regarding chimney work actually performed for you, which is covered by the agreement you make for that work.

Calls are recorded

Calls to and from our number may be recorded. See our Privacy Policy for what that means and how to ask for a recording to be deleted.
